In the current era of modernizing education, creating optimal conditions for teaching, nurturing, and developing children with disabilities (CWD) has become a crucial issue. Inclusive education, based on integrating all children into the general education system, has become a widely practiced approach for incorporating CWD into mainstream schools.Children's health has become a vital indicator of societal well-being, and educating children about a healthy lifestyle is a key element of the modern educational system.Extracurricular activities in primary schools play a pivotal role in shaping a healthy lifestyle for children. They help address several critical tasks, including facilitating children's adaptation to school, optimizing their academic workload, creating favorable conditions for each child's development, and considering their characteristics, including children with disabilities.Based on an analysis of scientific literature, key criteria for fostering a healthy lifestyle among young elementary school children have been identified:knowledge of a healthy lifestyle.positive attitude towards one's health.acquisition of skills related to a healthy lifestyle.development of proper hygienic habits.ability for self-assessment and self-control concerning health.motivation for expanding knowledge and skills related to a healthy lifestyle.Educators who organize extracurricular activities employ various types of activities, such as games, educational pursuits, sports, health-related activities, and others, to instill primary knowledge about health and a healthy lifestyle in children.Implementing sports events, games, contests, and activities within extracurricular activities not only contributes to physical development but also instills in children a respect for their health and cultivates a value-based approach to a healthy lifestyle.Extracurricular activities within the framework of inclusive education play a pivotal role in shaping the need for a healthy lifestyle among young elementary school children. This approach promotes cognitive development, shapes value systems, and imparts practical skills necessary for maintaining good health. The diversity of extracurricular activities enables effective engagement with children having diverse needs, including those with disabilities, creating a conducive educational environment for their holistic development and upbringing. Thus, integrating health-preserving activities into the school's extracurricular work becomes a significant step in fostering children's conscious and responsible attitude toward their health, which is a crucial aspect of a health-conscious educational paradigm.
